About the Author: Henry Dumas

Henry Dumas (1934-1968) was an American poet, novelist, and playwright whose literary legacy continues to inspire readers worldwide.

Born in Sweet Home, Arkansas, Dumas spent his formative years in Harlem, where he emerged as a key figure in the Black Arts Movement of the 1960s.
